Website redesign for the University of Illinois Chicago

Challenge

As the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) initiated the migration of all university websites to WordPress, Caleb was asked to lead the Sociology department’s website migration. The site needed a complete overhaul—visual design, copy, content hierarchy, and information architecture—to meet the department’s goals and provide a positive user experience.

Solution

Caleb collaborated with stakeholders in the department to redesign the website for clarity and usability. The work included:

  • New page designs
  • New and revised copy that supports scanning
  • New information architecture organized by audience and topic
